I love meeting new people, but it’s always a little awkward for me. Inevitably, at some point I am asked, “So, where are you from?” I’m never sure how to answer this question. Do I tell them where I was born? Do I tell them where I have lived the longest? Do I tell them where I currently live. As the child of a soldier, it is such a loaded question for me.
I’ve grown up all over the world and loved every minute of it. I love to travel, so I have had to learn how to travel on a budget. My love of budgeting was sparked by my desire to never miss out on a good opportunity.
I have a background in psychology and human development. Many of my family work in the mental health field, allowing me the unique opportunity to grow up with people of varying needs and talents. One such individual provided me with the understanding that some “conditions” are just unique abilities presented differently. I love working with individuals with unique abilities, discovering what makes them exceptional, what drives them, and using these abilities to help them thrive.
I have also had a strange interest in math. Although different countries may use different symbols to represent the same figures, the concepts are universal, and I just think there is something beautiful about that. I recently started my journey to becoming an Accredited Financial Counselor, in order to bridge my two passions, finances and helping people. It has been a transcending journey for me.
One final thing about me, I’m a single mom to three exhausting children. They are truly amazing, and where I will not be able to provide any parenting advice (I’m barely hanging in there myself somedays), I’m happy to discuss the implications children will have on your budget.
I look forward to meeting with new clients and helping them begin their financial journey. I hope to facilitate a journey of discovery and empowerment.
